When it comes to travel, social media has taken the power of word of mouth to the next level. As borders open up, the pent up demand for travel is increasingly turning to realised demands. Travellers are back with a vengeance as can be seen by the refreshing travel images and stories of exotic overseas travels. After all, if you didn’t post it on IG, did you really travel?
Own Your Adventure is a regional campaign in collaboration with TripAdvisor that launched across 4 countries. Calling upon users to showcase their best vacation photos and stand a chance to win USD10K worth of prizes.
Design process–
When I first received the brief, I thought about what our audience would miss most from travelling: Anticipating an epic adventure, excitement of catching a flight, or breathtaking scenery? Thus, we created a toolkit that embodied the nostalgia of travel - from Airport signages and stickers, and a play of animated large typography. We maximise outreach with campaign activation videos, curated amazing key visuals from photographer Yik Keat and lastly, animated landing pages that covered the campaign’s mechanics, participants photos and variety of travel exclusives.
